Interstate Bakeries posts $24 million operating loss for month ended Nov. 15

Pittsburgh, Dec. 30 - Interstate Bakeries Corp. reported a $24 million operating loss for the four weeks ended Nov. 15 on $211.62 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri.
The figures showed a decline from the $14.96 million operating loss posted for the four weeks ended Oct. 18 on $215.35 million in revenues.
The net loss for the latest period was $20.94 million, widening from a $14.74 million net loss for the previous period.
At Nov. 15, Interstate had $24.66 million in cash, up from $24.10 million at Oct. 18.
The Kansas City, Mo., bakery operator filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 22, 2004 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-45814.
