Intel to pay contingent interest on 3.25% convertibles due 2039

By Rebecca Melvin

New York, Aug. 2 – Intel Corp. said that contingent interest will be payable on its 3.25% junior subordinated convertible debentures due 2039 for the six-month interest payment period from Aug. 1, 2019 to Feb. 1, 2020.

The upside trigger on the debentures issued in 2009 has been met, the company said in a release. As a result, contingent interest will be payable on the notes to the holders of record as of Jan. 15, 2020 for that six-month interest payment period.

The semiconductor chip maker is based in Santa Clara, Calif.
