S&P: American International Assurance unchanged

Standard & Poor's said its rating on American International Assurance Co. Ltd. (AA+/negative) was not affected by the transfer of business from its previous Malaysia branch to its wholly owned and newly incorporated subsidiary, American International Assurance Bhd. (not rated) on June 1.

The agency said that American International Assurance's Malaysian operations were incorporatized to comply with local regulatory requirements.
