Markit sees 0.06% decline of U.S. leveraged loans in June 20 week

By Sara Rosenberg

New York, June 27 - The Markit iBoxx USD Leveraged Loans Index was down 0.06% last week, bringing total year-to-date returns to 2.26%, according to Markit Group Ltd. data.

Average bids for North America loans are 93.45.

"Returns in the loan market dipped only slightly last week, but it's hard to imagine a significant rally in the short term," Otis Casey, director and loans market analyst at Markit, said in a news release.

"Pricing is a concern in the European market as renewed concerns about the banking sector's exposure to Greek government debt could play into liquidity concerns for corporates," Casey added.
