American Express selling 10-year subordinated notes on Tuesday

Virginia Beach, Dec. 2 – American Express Co. is in the market Tuesday selling 10-year subordinated notes, according to an informed source and a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Goldman Sachs & Co., Barclays and RBC Capital Markets LLC are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The charge and credit card and travel services company is based in New York City.
