Moody's changes Hutchison Whampoa outlook to stable

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the A3 issuer rating for Hutchison Whampoa Ltd. and all the entities that it guarantees and changed the outlook to stable from negative.

"The change in outlook follows the announcement of Hutchison Whampoa's 2012 financial results, which indicated a modest but sustained improvement in financial performance and the maintenance of an extremely strong liquidity profile," Laura Acres, a Moody's senior vice president, said in an agency news release.

The stable outlook also reflects Hutchison Whampoa's ongoing efforts and initiatives to improve its metrics through a combination of underlying growth and cost-reduction measures, the agency said.
