Moody's: No change for Hutchison Whampoa

Moody's Investor Service said that Hutchison Whampoa Ltd.'s plan to privatize Hutchison Telecommunications International Ltd. will not have any immediate impact on its A3 issuer rating or its bond ratings.

The outlook remains negative.

Moody's said it sees no material impact on Hutchison Whampoa's credit profile.

The privatization of Hutchison Telecommunications is consistent with the company's overall telecoms strategy and is not entirely unexpected, the agency said.
