Huntsman gains extension on forbearance agreement

New York, June 28 - Huntsman Corp. said it received an extension on its forbearance agreement until Aug. 15, 2002.

Under the agreement, which was set to expire on June 30, lenders waived certain default events and will forbear from exercising remedies.

In addition, the Salt Lake City, Utah chemical company is currently involved in negotiations to amend and restate its credit agreement, the company said in a press release.
