Moody's: Hungarian banks view stable

The outlook for most rated Hungarian banks is stable, said Moody's Investors Service in a new report.

The bank financial strength ratings of Hungarian banks are underpinned by sound financial fundamentals, strong capitalization and good growth opportunities, Moody's said.

On the other hand, increasing credit risk on the back of the government's fiscal package, growing foreign-currency lending and unseasoned loan portfolios limit the upward potential of stand-alone ratings for Hungarian banks, the agency said.
