Lifestyle Brands wins auction for Huffy snowboard business

Washington, Dec. 14 - Lifestyle Brands Ltd. won the court-sanctioned auction for Huffy Corp.'s snowboard business, according to a court order filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio Tuesday.

The paperwork did not give the final sale price, but Lifestyle Brands, formerly Collective Brands Inc., was the stalking horse bidder with a $2.5 million bid.

Itochu International had the second highest bid at the Dec. 8 auction.

Miamisburg, Ohio-based Huffy filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 20. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-39148.
