Fitch rates Huaneng notes A

Fitch Ratings said it assigned to the proposed dollar-denominated notes to be guaranteed by Huaneng Power International, Inc. an A rating. The notes will be sold by Huaneng’s Sinosing Services Pte. Ltd. Proceeds will be used for refinancing debt.

Fitch also assigned Huaneng a long-term foreign-currency issuer default rating and senior unsecured rating of A. The outlook is stable.

The ratings on Huaneng International are equalized with that of its parent, China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. one of China's top five state-owned power generators, in accordance with our parent and subsidiary rating linkage methodology. This reflects Huaneng International's strong operational and strategic linkages with Huaneng Group, and the consistent tangible support received by Huaneng International from its parent, the agency said.
