New Issue: China’s Huaneng Power issues RMB 2 billion of 2.96% notes at par

Chicago, June 7 – Huaneng Power International, Inc. issued RMB 2 billion of 2.96% notes, according to a notice.

The tenor is two plus “N” years.

The unit face value is RMB 100.

Citic Securities Co. Ltd. is the lead underwriter for the 11th issue from Huaneng.

The notes were placed through book building and issued in the domestic interbank bond market.

Proceeds will be used to supplement working capital, adjust the company’s debt structure and repay bank loans and debt when due.

The Beijing-based company develops, constructs and operates power plants in China.
