New Issue: HSBC prices $699,000 5.7% autocallable yield notes linked to indexes
Chicago, Dec. 18 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $699,000 of 5.7% autocallable yield notes due March 4, 2021 linked to the lesser performing of the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Interest is payable monthly.
Beginning June 1, 2020, the notes will be automatically called at par if each index closes at or above its initial level on any monthly call observation date.
If the notes are not called, the payout at maturity will be par unless either index closes below its trigger level, 70% of its initial level, during the life of the notes and the lesser-performing index finishes below its initial level, in which case investors will lose 1% for each 1% that the lesser-performing index declines from its initial level.
