New Issue: HSBC sells $994,000 digital dual directional buffered notes on Dow, Nasdaq

Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 12 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $994,000 of 0% digital dual directional barrier securities due Dec. 6, 2021 linked to the Dow Jones industrial average and the Nasdaq-100 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If each index finishes above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the return of the lesser performing index, capped at par plus 30%.

If either index falls by up to 15%, the payout will be par plus the absolute value of the return of the lesser performing index.

If either index falls by more than 15%, investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline of the lesser performing index beyond 15%.
