HSBC plans three-year buffered AMPS with cap tied to S&P 500

Columbus, Ohio, March 19 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due April 4, 2022 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any index gain, up to a maximum return of at least 26%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on March 29.

The Cusip number is 40435UJF2.
