HSBC intends to price digital notes linked to MSCI EAFE index

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 16 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% digital notes due in 25 to 28 months linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is greater than or equal to the buffer level, 85% of the initial level, investors will receive par plus the digital upside payment which is expected to be 13.45% to 15.78% and will be set at pricing.

Otherwise, investors will lose 1.1765% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.
