HSBC to price barrier AMPS tied to Market Vectors Gold Miners ETF

Morgantown, W.Va., Aug. 21 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% barrier Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Aug. 25, 2020 linked to the Market Vectors Gold Miners exchange-traded fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the fund return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 3 times the fund gain, subject to a maximum return of 53% to 57%. If the fund declines by 30% or less, the payout will be par. If the fund falls by more than 30%, investors will be fully exposed to the decline.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on Aug. 22.

The Cusip number is 40435FEK9.
