HSBC plans three-year buffered uncapped notes linked to S&P 500

Morgantown, W.Va., March 27 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered uncapped market participation securities due March 31, 2020 tied to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus at least 100% times any index gain.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on March 28.

The Cusip number is 40433UU79.
