New Issue: HSBC sells $5.25 million buffer digital notes tied to iShares MSCI EAFE

Chicago, Oct. 21 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $5.25 million of 0% buffer digital securities due Sept. 25, 2018 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the fund finishes at or above its 90% digital barrier level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the digital return of 14.1%.

Otherwise, investors will be exposed to any losses beyond 10%.
