HSBC plans two-year buffered AMPS linked to iShares MSCI EAFE ETF

Knoxville, Tenn., March 31 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% buffered accelerated market participation securities due April 30, 2018 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE exchange-traded fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any fund gain, subject to a maximum return that is expected to be at least 24% and will be set at pricing. Investors will receive par if the fund declines by 10% or less and will be exposed to any declines beyond 10%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes (Cusip: 40433UKT2) will price on April 26 and settle on April 29.
