New Issue: HSBC sells $2.15 million buffered uncapped notes on low volatility ETF

Columbus, Ohio, Jan. 28 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $2.15 million of 0% buffered uncapped market participation securities due Jan. 29, 2019 linked to the PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the fund return is positive, the payout at maturity will be equal to par plus the gain.

Investors will receive par if the fund declines by up to the 14% buffer and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond the buffer.
