New Issue: HSBC prices $420,000 buffered AMPS tied to S&P 500, Russell 2000 basket

Norfolk, Va., Dec. 17 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $420,000 of 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Dec. 18, 2017 linked to a basket of two unequally weighted indexes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket consists of the S&P 500 index with a 60% weight and the Russell 2000 index with a 40% weight.

Payout at maturity will be par plus 110% of any gain on the basket, up to a maximum return of 24%.

Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 10% and will be exposed to declines beyond 10%.
