New Issue: HSBC sells $1 million 4.05% seven-year buffered notes linked to S&P 500

Chicago, Sept. 25 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $1 million of 4.05% buffered notes with fixed annual coupon due Sept. 28, 2022 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest is payable annually.

The payout at maturity will be par unless the index falls by more than the 30% buffer, in which case investors will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 30%.
