HSBC to price barrier AMPS linked to iShares MSCI Emerging Markets

Tacoma, Wash., April 24 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% barrier Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Dec. 3, 2018 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the ETF return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 150% of the ETF return, subject to a maximum return that is expected to be at least 49% and will be set at pricing. Investors will receive par if the ETF declines by 25% or less and will be fully exposed to the decline from the initial level if it declines by more than 25%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes are expected to price May 22 and settle June 1.

The Cusip number is 40433BP93.
