HSBC plans leveraged buffered uncapped notes linked to Euro Stoxx 50

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Feb. 27 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered uncapped market participation securities due Sept. 26, 2019 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus at least 105% of the index return. The exact participation rate will be set at pricing.

Investors will receive par if the index declines by 20% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 20%, if any.

The notes (Cusip: 40433BE38) are expect to price March 23 and settle March 26.
