HSBC to price trigger PLUS linked to iShares MSCI Emerging Markets

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Dec. 2 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% trigger Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Jan. 4, 2018 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any fund gain, subject to a maximum return of 35%.

Investors will receive par if the share price falls by up to 15% and will be fully exposed to losses if the fund drops below the 85% trigger level.

The notes (Cusip: 40434F827) are expected to price Dec. 30 and settle Jan. 5.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management as dealer.
