New Issue: HSBC prices $500,000 enhanced participation notes linked to S&P 500

Tacoma, Wash., Feb. 19 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $500,000 of 0% enhanced participation securities with barrier due Feb. 25, 2019 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is greater than zero, the payout at maturity will be par plus 110% of the index return. If the index declines by 43% or less, the payout will be par. Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the final index level is less than the initial level.
