New Issue: HSBC prices $1.64 million buffered AMPS linked to indexes, ETFs

New York, Jan. 14 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $1,644,000 of 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Jan. 17, 2017 linked to a basket of indexes and exchange-traded funds, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket includes the S&P 500 index with a 50% weight, the iShares MSCI EAFE index fund with a 25% weight, the Russell 2000 index with a 15% weight and the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets index fund with a 10% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 125% of any gain in the basket, up to a maximum return of 32%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 15% and will be exposed to any losses beyond 15%.
