HSBC plans 0% jump securities linked to iShares MSCI Emerging Markets

Chicago, July 5 - HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% jump securities due Feb. 5, 2014 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets index fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the fund finishes above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus an upside payment of 8.5% to 10.5%. The exact percentage will be set at pricing.

Otherwise, investors will be exposed to any losses.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. will be the agent, with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC as the dealer.

The notes will price on July 31 and settle on Aug. 5.

The Cusip number is 40433X472.
