HSBC plans 24-month buffered AMPS with cap tied to iShares MSCI EAFE

Madison, Wis., May 1 - HSBC USA Inc. plans to price buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due June 2, 2015 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE index fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any fund gain, up to a maximum return of 19% to 23%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.

Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price on May 28 and settle on May 31.

The Cusip number is 40432XEQ0.
