New Issue: HSBC prices $710,000 buffered AMPS linked to Apple

Tacoma, Wash., Jan. 24 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $710,000 of 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due July 25, 2014 linked to the common stock of Apple Inc., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any gain in the stock, subject to a maximum return of 27%. Investors will receive par if the stock declines by 10% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 10%.
