New Issue: HSBC prices an additional $1,000 buffered AMPS linked to S&P 500 index

San Diego, April 26 - HSBC USA Inc. upsized its 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Oct. 25, 2012 linked to the S&P 500 index to $1,005,000 from $1,004,000, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, up to a maximum return of 10%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.
