New Issue: HSBC prices $245,000 15-month buffered AMPS tied to iShares MSCI Japan

Tacoma, Wash., April 25 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $245,000 of 0% buffered Accelerated Market Participation Securities due July 25, 2012 linked to the iShares MSCI Japan index fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus double any fund gain, subject to a maximum return of 10%. Investors will receive par if the fund's share price declines by 10% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 10%.
