New York, Dec. 10 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $2 billion 3.125% three-year senior unsecured notes backed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The non-callable notes (Aaa/AAA/AAA) priced at 99.943 to yield 3.145%, or Treasuries plus 203.1 basis points.
HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. was the bookrunner with joint lead managers Banc of America Securities LLC, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., RBS Greenwich Capital, RBC Capital Markets Corp., Scotia Capital and UBS Investment Bank.
Co-managers were Comerica Securities, Fifth Third Securities, Santander Investment Securities and Wells Fargo Securities.
Proceeds will be used by HSBC and its subsidiaries for general corporate purposes, including investments in and advancements to subsidiaries, for financing future acquisitions and for banking.
