New Issue: HSBC prices $1.26 million autocallable barrier notes with step-up premium tied to S&P

Chicago, Oct. 20 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $1.26 million of 0% autocallable barrier notes with step-up premium due Oct. 18, 2027 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be called automatically starting after one year and on any subsequent quarterly observation date at a premium of 10.5% per year if the index closes above its initial level.

The maturity date premium is 42%.

The payout at maturity will be par if the index finishes at or above its 70% barrier. Investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the index declines if it finishes below the barrier level.
