New Issue: HSBC sells $1.24 million autocallable contingent income barrier notes on S&P, Russell
By William Gullotti
Buffalo, N.Y., July 13 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $1.24 million of autocallable contingent income barrier notes due July 14, 2027 linked to the least performing of the S&P 500 index and the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will pay a contingent monthly coupon at an annual rate of 6.75% if each index closes at or above its coupon barrier level, 75% of its initial level, on the observation date for that period.
The notes will be called at par plus the contingent coupon if each index closes at or above its initial level on any quarterly coupon observation date after one year.
If the notes are not called and each index finishes at or above its coupon barrier level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the final coupon.
If the worst performer finishes below its coupon barrier but at or above its 60% trigger level, the payout will be par. Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the lowest performing index from its initial level.
