New Issue: HSBC prices $2.5 million contingent income barrier autocallables tied to three stocks

By Wendy Van Sickle

Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 20 – HSBC USA Inc. priced $2.5 million of autocallable contingent income barrier notes due Aug. 18, 2025 linked to the least performing of the common stocks of Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Pfizer Inc. and United States Steel Corp., according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Each month, the notes will pay a contingent coupon at an annual rate of 30% if each stock closes at or above its coupon trigger price, 60% of the initial share price, on the observation date for that month.

The notes will be called at par plus the contingent coupon if each stock closes at or above 90% of its initial share price on any quarterly call date starting Aug. 15, 2022.

If the notes are not called, the payout at maturity will be par unless any stock finishes below its 50% trigger level, in which case investors will be fully exposed to the decline of the least performing stock.
