Prospect News reports four new defaults for week of Sept. 10-Sept. 16

Pittsburgh, Sept. 18 – Prospect News reported four new defaults for the period of Sept. 10 through Sept. 16.

Specifically, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings made by Global Maritime Investments Cyprus Ltd., Hovensa LLC, Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations, LLC and Please Touch Museum.

Prospect News also reported a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing made by Samson Resources Corp. However, Samson previously defaulted in connection with an Aug. 15 missed interest payment on its 9¾% senior notes due 2020.

Prospect News has reported 125 defaults so far in 2015, including 63 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filings, 16 missed interest payments, 10 Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act filings, eight distressed exchanges, five Chapter 15 bankruptcy filings, four bankruptcy filings, two each of Chapter 7 bankruptcy filings, reorganizations, defaults, missed payments and missed principal payments and one each of Chapter 9 bankruptcy filings, administrations, arrangements of debt, judicial recovery requests, missed interest payments paid within the grace period, missed principal and interest payments, insolvencies, schemes of arrangement and moratoriums.
