S&P: Host Hotels view stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook on Host Hotels & Resorts Inc. and Host Hotels & Resorts LP to stable from negative. The agency also said it affirmed its BB- corporate credit rating.

The outlook revision reflects a view that Host is likely to achieve and sustain credit measures appropriate for the current BB- rating over the intermediate term, limiting the risk of a downgrade, S&P said.

Hotel room demand in the United States will likely achieve sustained levels of growth in 2010, the agency said, and revenue per available room in the United States and at Host will likely turn positive in 2010.
