Hostess Brands posts $4.71 million of EBITDA for March 4 to March 31

Pittsburgh, May 4 - Hostess Brands, Inc. reported $4.71 million of EBITDA for the period of March 4 to March 31 on $189.32 million in total net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
The figures showed improvement from the negative $2.42 million of EBITDA posted for the period of Feb. 5 to March 3 on $184.96 million in total net sales.
The operating loss for the latest period was $7.39 million and the net loss was $9.55 million, compared with a $14.85 million operating loss for the previous period and a $17.39 million net loss.
The company had $62.32 million in cash at March 31, down from $67.69 million at March 3.
Hostess Brands, an Irving, Texas-based operator of regional bakeries, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 11. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-22052.
