Horsehead U.S. trustee appoints seven to unsecured creditors committee

Pittsburgh, Feb. 16 – Horsehead Holding Corp.’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Tuesday by acting Region 3 U.S. trustee Andrew R. Vara, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members are Sandra E. Horwitz of trustee Delaware Trust Co. of Wilmington, Del.; Steven Cimalore of trustee Wilmington Trust of Wilmington, Del.; Eugene Lee of Hudbay Marketing & Sales, Inc. of Toronto; Richard Winans of Chemicals Inc. of Fairfield, Ohio; Martin J. Powers of Powers Coal and Coke of Cleveland; David R. Jury of United Steelworkers, based in Pittsburgh; and Fahad Missmar of Dhandho Holdings Corp. of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Pittsburgh-based Horsehead Holding is the parent company of Horsehead Corp., a U.S. producer of specialty zinc and zinc-based products and a recycler of electric arc furnace dust. The company filed bankruptcy on Feb. 2 under Chapter 11 case number 16-10287.
