By William Gullotti

Buffalo, N.Y., March 18 – Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corp. Ltd. updated its $20 billion medium-term note program, according to a listing notice with an appended program circular on Monday.

The bank is again acting as its own arranger and dealer for the Regulation S program, further acting as issuing agent, paying agent and registrar.

It will also guarantee program drawdowns if a subsidiary is acting as issuer.

Clifford Chance is HSBC’s counsel in its roles as issuer and guarantor.

The 12-month program became effective March 15 and is listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd.

HSBC, the largest bank in Hong Kong, operates branches throughout the Asia Pacific region and around the world.
