Moody’s rates HSBC notes Aa3

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned an Aa3 rating to the €20 million of fixed-rates notes Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp. Ltd. (HBAP) is selling. The offering will be a drawdown from its $20 billion medium-term note program.

“The assigned rating is in line with HBAP's senior unsecured MTN program ratings and deposit ratings, reflecting the structure of the issuance,” Moody’s said in a press release.

The outlook is stable.
