New Issue: Hong Kong auctions HK$2.2 billion of 1.52%, 0.79% bonds in two tranches

Minneapolis, Sept. 24 - Hong Kong sold HK$2.2 billion of exchange fund notes in two tranches through an auction on Tuesday.

Hong Kong sold HK$1 billion of 1.52% bonds due 2018 at an average price of 101.43 and an average yield of 1.23%. Bids were received for HK$3,085,000,000 of the bonds.

The government also sold HK$1.2 billion in a reopening of its 0.79% bonds due 2016 at an average tender price of 100.60 and an average yield of 0.59%. Bids were received for HK$3.61 billion of the bonds.
