Home Interiors posts $83,072 August operating loss on zero sales

New York, Sept. 18 - Home Interiors & Gifts, Inc. reported an operating loss of $83,072 in August on zero sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

In comparison, the company's operating loss was $22,625 in July, also on zero sales.

Home Interiors reported a $2.89 million net loss in August, compared to a $2.96 million loss for July. It had $11.63 million in cash at the end of August, up from $11.17 million at the end of July.

Home Interiors & Gifts is a Dallas-based integrated manufacturer and distributor of home decorative accessories. The company filed for bankruptcy on April 29, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-31961.
