Moody's rates Holcim prime-2

Moody's Investors Services said it assigned a prime-2 short-term issuer rating to Holcim Ltd., along with a prime-2 short-term rating to the Belgian commercial paper program guaranteed by Holcim Ltd., issuer Holcim Finance (Belgium) SA.

The rating reflects the solid fundamentals of Holcim and its good short-term liquidity, Moody's said.

The agency noted that given the high short-term maturities and significant cash outflows for the expansion of Holcim's business, refinancing requirements continue to remain relatively high for the foreseeable future.
