S&P cuts Hoang Anh Gia Lai

Standard & Poor's said it lowered the long-term corporate credit rating on Hoang Anh Gia Lai JSC to B- from B.

The outlook is negative.

The agency also said it lowered the rating on the company's senior notes to B- from B, along with the Asean regional scale rating to axB- from axBB-.

The ratings were removed from CreditWatch, where they were placed with negative implications in August.

The company's operating performance and liquidity are likely to remain weak in the next six to 12 months, S&P said.

This is due to the challenging operating conditions for the company's residential property development business, the agency said.
