Vietnam's Hoang Anh Gia Lai solicits consents to amend 9 7/8% notes

Chicago, Dec. 19 - Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Co., or HAGL, said it began a consent solicitation to amend its 9 7/8% senior notes due 2016.

HAGL is offering a consent fee of $7.50 per $1,000 principal amount of notes for which it receives consents.

The consent bid will end at 4 a.m. ET on Jan. 30.

The company must receive consents from holders of a majority of the outstanding notes to amend the notes.

As of the offer start date, the company had received written confirmation from enough holders to obtain the required consents, according to a company press release.

HAGL is a business conglomerate based in Pleiku City, Vietnam.
