Moody's assigns HKT notes Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 rating to the proposed dollar-denominated senior unsecured notes to be issued by HKT Capital No. 6 Ltd., a direct and wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Telecommunications (HKT) Ltd., rated Baa2.

HKT and its parent, HKT Group Holdings Ltd. will guarantee the notes.

HKT will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including refinancing debt.

The outlook is stable.
