American Airlines contemplating new $1.8 billion credit facility

New York, Sept. 18 – American Airlines Inc. is considering getting a new $1.8 billion secured credit facility, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Thursday.
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. is the lead arranger on the deal.
The facility would consist of an $800 million five-year revolver and a $1 billion seven-year term loan.
Proceeds would be used for general corporate purposes.
American Airlines is a Fort Worth, Texas-based airline company.
